Awards & Scholarships
INTEL Women in Technology Scholarships
Each year Intel award scholarships to female school leavers entering specified four year undergraduate degree courses in science, technology and engineering (A full selection criteria can be viewed HERE) each scholarship award includes the following:
- Monetary grant valued at €2000 for each student per annum.
- Scholars will be offered intern placements or summer internships at the Intel Leixlip campus.
- To assist with career progression and further education, each scholar will be assigned an Intel mentor who can assist and provide advice on managing their academic career.

Science Without Borders
Science Without Borders is a Brazilian Government scholarship programme which aims to send 100,000 Brazilian students abroad to study science, technology, engineering and mathematics over the next 4 years. Women in Physics Scholarships
The School of Physics awards four Entrance Scholarships to first year students which are worth €750 each. These scholarships are intended to attract high-achieving students to study Physics at Trinity. Two of the scholarships are reserved for women and two are open to all students. Postgraduate Research Awards and Funding
Postgraduate Ussher Fellowships
Postgraduate Fellowships are available to new entrants to the full-time Ph.D. register for entry in September and/or the following March of the same academic year (e.g. September 2016 and/or March 2017). The Fellowships aim to support and develop gifted research students. They are awarded competitively on academic merit. See Ussher Fellowships for more information.
Postgraduate Research Studentships
Postgraduate studentships are available to new entrants as well as continuing students on the full-time Ph.D. register for entry in September and/or the following March of the same academic year (e.g. September 2016 and/or March 2017). Government of Ireland Scholarships
The Government of Ireland International Scholarships are awarded to high calibre students from Brazil, China and India to study in Trinity College for a period of one year. The scheme is operated and co-funded by the Irish Government and the higher education institutions (HEIs) The scholarship will include a full fee waiver from Trinity College Dublin for the period of one year, as well as a €7,500 stipend towards living expenses funded by the HEA. Visiting Professorship & Benefaction Fund
The Visiting Professorships and Fellowships Benefaction Fund is disbursed annually by the Faculty Deans. Grants are intended to assist in financing the cost of research visits to College by academics from other institutions.
